AI
AI, Applied with Judgment
Decades of publishing and editorial work, now paired with AI — used to build real tools, design learning, and pressure-test ideas, with human judgment in charge the whole way.
I have worked with AI daily since 2023 — long enough for opinions, questions, and a stack of hard-earned lessons. I use it for far more than rewriting emails: I build time-saving tools, audit ideas, troubleshoot, test theories, and explore directions that would otherwise cost far more time, money, or specialist help.
I also treat it as a sounding board when I feel stuck, a way to see a problem from a new angle. I never take it at its word. I test what it gives me, challenge it, edit it, and look for the assumptions and built-in narratives underneath. AI is not neutral, infallible, or limitless. That is exactly why discernment matters.
AI collaborates; it does not decide.
I read every output as a draft to interrogate before any of it is used.
Trust is earned by testing.
Each claim gets checked against what I already know and what the work actually needs.
Human judgment makes the final call.
Voice, accuracy, and meaning stay a person's responsibility, start to finish.
A tool has to solve a real problem.
Each one earns its place by handling a specific job well.

Not a course. Not a checklist. A guided publishing workspace built around your actual book.
Curriculum & learning design
Turning expertise into learning that holds together
The same architecture I use for books, I use for learning. From Manuscript to Market is a five-module, forty-five-lesson program with thirty-five resources — built as a guided progression, with exercises and templates that carry a learner from a raw idea to a published book, one milestone at a time.
That work translates directly into curriculum and instructional design for others. When a course or training program already exists but is not landing, I come in at the architecture level.
- Review and strengthen an existing curriculum, tightening the through-line from module to module.
- Identify gaps and outdated concepts, especially where AI has moved quickly.
- Validate content on what AI can and cannot reliably do, so learners are taught reality rather than hype.
- Develop realistic scenarios and practitioner tools people can actually use.
- Ensure consistency across modules, terminology, and learning objectives.

Substack newsletter
Real AI Advantage for Women
Real AI Advantage for Women is my Substack newsletter, where I share what I am building, testing, and questioning, along with the concerns and the possibilities I find along the way. I am not here with all the answers. I want a place where we ask better questions, trade what is and is not working, and learn together. The real advantage comes from learning how to think, question, and create with AI, rather than accepting whatever it hands us.
